Take a break: it’s time for you!

Undoubtedly, we are in very difficult times. Maybe we are ill or worried about our health, perhaps we are grieving for a loved one and the world at large. Maybe we are scared and anxious, overworked or without a job? In these circumstances, it is easy to feel overwhelmed and only see the negative changes that the pandemic has brought. And what can we do when so much is out of our control?
We can take a step back, turn off the news for a while and think about what we do have, take some time for yourself and be kind to those around you. Both feeling gratitude and engaging in acts of kindness for yourself and others can help us smile again, it can improve our mood and strengthen our ability to deal with stress and pain.
